DIREÇÃO-GERAL DAS ARTES E CONSELHO DAS ARTES DA NORUEGA ASSINALAM ENCERRAMENTO DO PROGRAMA PEGADA CULTURAL – ARTES E EDUCAÇÃO

Decorreu hoje, dia 5 de dezembro, o encerramento do programa “Pegada Cultural – Artes e Educação”.

O evento “Pegada Cultural - Resultados e Sustentabilidade | 2013-2016” contou com as presenças de Sua Excelência o Secretário de Estado da Cultura de Portugal, Miguel Honrado, Sua Excelência o Embaixador da Noruega em Lisboa, Anders Erdal, entre outras individualidades e ainda representantes das entidades Portuguesas e Norueguesas que estabeleceram parcerias enquanto promotores dos 9 projetos artísticos.

Segundo Susana Graça, gestora executiva, «a implementação deste programa superou todas as expetativas, pela adesão das entidades artísticas, pela sua capacidade de estabelecer parcerias sólidas e frutíferas e pelo resultado final de envolvimento das crianças e jovens e dos agentes culturais em cada um dos contextos. A vertente de descentralização do programa da produção cultural foi crucial e relevou também uma resposta muito positiva»

Alguns números do programa “Pegada Cultural – Artes e Educação”:

9 Projetos artísticos financiados; 
89 Parcerias com 14 organizações de países doadores;
43 Entidades artísticas portuguesas envolvidas nos 9 projetos;
75 Escolas das cinco regiões de Portugal Continental;
34 Municípios parceiros;
122 Novos eventos culturais, numa média de 7 novos eventos culturais por mês;
218  Apresentações realizadas em itinerância por todo o país;
11.252 Estudantes impactados em 75 escolas;
3.165 Pessoas localmente envolvidas na produção dos 9 projetos;
23.167 Pessoas somam o total do público (estudantes, famílias, entre outros). 

Para os responsáveis do Conselho das Artes da Noruega «Pegada Cultural é o único programa cultural no âmbito dos apoios financeiros EEA Grants que incide diretamente na ligação entre a cultura e a educação nas escolas públicas. O desenvolvimento dos nove projetos financiados junto de públicos tão específicos (crianças e jovens) relevou um efeito democrático e substancial. O Conselho de Artes da Noruega orgulha-se de ter sido parceiro deste programa, que também trouxe 13 entidades culturais norueguesas para Portugal, para trabalhar com os seus colegas e aprender com eles.»

O Secretário de Estado da Cultura, Miguel Honrado, reforça como «o programa “Pegada Cultural – Artes e Educação” concretiza uma das prioridades deste Governo, que coloca a internacionalização no âmago da política cultural. Cada vez mais, num contexto geográfico alargado, como é aquele onde Portugal se deve posicionar, as artes têm um papel motor essencial pela sua capacidade de aproximação, de integração, de diálogo inclusivo e de uma forte partilha de experiências que diminuem as diferenças e reforçam um sentido de comunidade ativa e participativa.»

Segundo a Diretora-Geral das Artes, Paula Varanda, «em 2011, a Direção-Geral das Artes abraçou um novo desafio com um perfil sem precedentes: o Mecanismo Financeiro do Espaço Económico Europeu – EEA Grants desafiou a nossa instituição a conceber um projeto que pudesse cumprir os objetivos deste regime de financiamentos e atribuiu, pela primeira vez em Portugal, um investimento de 1 milhão de euros para apoiar as artes. Foi uma experiência singular e nova para a DGArtes, que nos ensinou muito sobre nós, enquanto instituição pública ao serviço das artes e sobre os grupos profissionais que apoiamos regularmente (com outros mecanismos de financiamento) e sobre a sua capacidade de adaptação a diferentes situações, seja em termos de audiências pré-definidas, objetivos estratégicos ou requisitos técnicos. De referir o nosso atual melhor conhecimento sobre a cooperação internacional e os benefícios resultantes que marcarão o nosso futuro, pois somos o principal órgão público que trabalha nacionalmente com o terceiro setor do meio artístico.»

THE DIRECTORATE-GENERAL FOR THE ARTS AND THE ARTS COUNCIL OF NORWAY CELEBRATE THE CLOSURE OF THE CULTURAL FOOTPRINT - ARTS AND EDUCATION PROGRAMME

The closing ceremony of the program "Cultural Footprint - Arts and Education" was held today, 5 December.

The event "Cultural Footprint - Results and Sustainability | 2013-2016 "was attended by His Excellency the Secretary of State for Culture of Portugal, Miguel Honrado, His Excellency the Norwegian Ambassador in Lisbon, Anders Erdal, among other individuals and representatives of the Portuguese and Norwegian entities that established partnerships as Promoters of the 9 artistic projects.

According to Susana Graça, executive manager, "the implementation of this program has exceeded all expectations, by the adhesion of the artistic entities, by its capacity to establish solid and fruitful partnerships and by the final result of the involvement of children and young people and cultural agents in each one of the contexts. The decentralization strand of the cultural production program was crucial and also a very positive response '

Some numbers from the program "Cultural Footprint - Arts and Education":

· 9 Artistic projects financed;
· 89 partnerships with 14 donor country organizations;
· 43 Portuguese artistic entities involved in the 9 projects;
· 75 Schools in the five regions of Mainland Portugal;
· 34 partner municipalities;
· 122 New cultural events, averaging 7 new cultural events per month;
· 218 Presentations throughout the country;
· 11.252 Students impacted in 75 schools;
· 3.165 people locally involved in the production of the 9 projects;
· 23.167 People total the audience (students, families, among others).

For the Arts Council of Norway "Pegada Cultural is the only cultural programme within the EEA Grants that focuses directly on the connection between culture and education in public schools. The development of the nine projects financed with such specific audiences (children and young people) has had a substantial and democratic effect. The Norwegian Arts Council is proud to have been a partner in this program, which has also brought 13 Norwegian cultural entities to Portugal to work with and learn from their colleagues."

The Secretary of State for Culture, Miguel Honrado, reinforces how the "Cultural Footprint - Arts and Education" program fulfills one of the priorities of this Government, which places internationalization at the heart of cultural policy. Increasingly, in a broad geographic context, such as where Portugal should position itself, the arts have an essential motor role because of their capacity for rapprochement, integration, inclusive dialogue and a strong sharing of experiences that diminish differences and reinforce a sense of active and participatory community."

According to the Director-General of the Arts, Paula Varanda, "in 2011 the Directorate-General for the Arts embraced a new challenge with an unprecedented profile: the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism - EEA Grants challenged our institution to design a project that could meet the objectives of this financing scheme and allocated, for the first time in Portugal, an investment of 1 million euros to support the arts. It was a unique and new experience for DGArtes, who taught us much about us as a public institution at the service of the arts and about the professional groups we support on a regular basis (with other financing mechanisms) and on their ability to adapt to different situations, whether in terms of pre-defined audiences, strategic objectives or technical requirements. We highlight a now better knowledge about international cooperation and the resulting benefits that will mark our future, as we are the main public agency that works nationally with the third sector of the artistic world."
